About Me
Who I am
Hi There!
I’m Lisa Anderson-Allred. Both my personal and professional life’s experience has taught me that no matter what the symptoms are, the need for connection and to be truly seen is the backbone to growth and healing.
To see, name, and watch others build their life based on the strengths they already have is my passion. At Empowered Thought therapy, my goal is to provide input and ask questions that cause you to move toward a life that matters to you.
Experience
I have experience working with children ages 3-18 in an outpatient mental health counseling facility. And providing therapy, using a home-based counseling model designed for seniors experiencing depression, loneliness, and social isolation
I have also worked as a therapist at an outpatient mental health clinic, where I saw clients experiencing a wide range of symptoms that affected their daily lives.
In hospice, I provided therapy for people and their loved ones in hospice during end of life care. With deep understanding on the nature of loss and the impact it has.
Professional Credentials
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Southern Oregon University and received my Master’s in Social Work from Portland State University.
Finding your strengths, hopes, ethics, and dreams is
the blueprint to a life that matters to you.
Miss Penelope Snorts
When not doing therapy, my wife and I are the proud mothers of a wonderful English Bulldog named Penelope Snorts. She is the unofficial mascot of the operation and takes her job as secretary very seriously. She enjoys going to the the beach and naps in the sun.
