Grief & Loss
Looking for tools to help cope with the
overwhelming feelings of loss?
Grief can affect every aspect of life
Find realistic ways that honor your memories and incorporate your strengths in the loss
No one is ever really prepared for this type of loss. You may be going along in your day and all of the sudden you’re struck with intense emotions. You find yourself crying or having strong memories or emotions for what seems to be no reason. Grief can affect every part of life and going at it alone can feel overwhelming.
When working together, you can expect that your emotions and ideas will not be disregarded or watered down. Know that you will have a place to speak openly. And I will not encourage you to, “get over it”. In my experience in hospice, people don’t get over grief, they learn to live with the grief. There is no wrong or right way to grieve.
Together, we will look at the things that bring you joy. Discover how you can continue to participate in them, while living with the grief. We will find realistic ways that honor your memories and incorporate your strengths in the loss. Although the world may look different than before, you will find your path as you build a life that matters to you.
